You can no longer delay VAT payments because of coronavirus (COVID-19)

VAT bills that have a payment date on or after 1 July 2020 must be paid on time.
If you cancelled your Direct Debit, set it up again so you don’t miss a payment.

Contact HMRC as soon as possible if you are unable to pay.

You still need to submit VAT Returns, even if your business has temporarily closed.

You have until 31 March 2021 to pay VAT bills that were due between 20 March and 30 June 2020.

So let’s hope the easing of the lockdown means businesses can slowly begin to trade again.
