Yesterday was the end of month one of the new tax year, so those of you with monthly PAYE liabilities will need to pay these by 22nd May 2014.
For those in self-employment, some of you may have already contacted your accountant to sort out your accounts and tax return for the tax year ending 5 April 2014. You don’t have to leave it until the last minute – you can be one of the early birds instead!
For those of you receiving tax credits, you will soon be receiving Annual Review packs, if you have not already done so. You will need to know what your income from self-employment is, so that you can provide HMRC with the right information for your tax credits. We can help with this.
