We have had a couple of clients reporting that they have received email notification, purporting to be from HMRC, advising of a VAT compliance check or VAT assessment.
These are scam emails. At first glance they look quite official, but check the sender email address. It would normally end with hmrc.gov.uk.
Do not click on any links on these scam emails. If you are in any doubt, just let us know.
