Small companies and micro entities will no longer be required to file their profit and loss accounts with Companies House from April 2027.
Following stakeholder concerns, Companies House have confirmed that the expected timeline for small companies and micro entities to file their profit and loss accounts with Companies House has been paused and will no longer be introduced in April 2027. It is still under review, and Companies House have advised that companies will get at least 21 months notice to give them time to prepare.
So good news for all those smaller companies who prefer minimal information on the public register.
